Is your life a walk with God or a walk with a strategic plan? Is it an adventure of faith or a blueprint you put together?

I've learned that God does not give us all the details BUT He delights to communicate direction, edification, and comfort! Most people fail to engage in the dialogue and treat the Lord like the only thing He has to say is a chapter and verse in the Bible. The most powerful life is the life that combines aspects of diligent preparation, reflection, and supernatural direction.

I want to share a quick study on how to hear God's voice. Watch for these posts over the next couple days.

Everything we do in the kingdom involves an aspect of faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Therefore the first thing you need to settle is the fact that God really does want to speak to you! The second concept ties in closely to the first, namely, you can hear God's voice! One verse settles the matter - "My sheep hear my voice..." (John 10:27).

If you are a believer, you can hear. I was once blown away by the comment someone made claiming they could prove that God speaks to everyone, including those who do not know Him or believe in Him. They they pointed out that every believer was an unbeliever at the moment they heard God's invitation to put their faith in Jesus. That's clearly true. If I could not hear God I never would have gotten saved. If unbelievers become believers by hearing Him, how much more should those that are now believers keep on hearing Him now that they know Him?

LEARNING TO KNOW GOD'S VOICE.
Go back and read yesterday afternoon's post. This one is a piece of 4 different posts to help challenge you and grow your ability to know and hear the voice of God.

So, continuing here are the first of the suggestions:
Key #1 - Get yourself a journal or notebook. Preferably a new one.

Key #2 - Choose a quiet place where there are no distractions or interruptions - no phones, no people. Early morning or the quiet at the end of the day is often best for this special time with God.

Key #3 - "Be Still." You cannot approach this conversation in the rush and busyness of the week. Relax, cease striving, rest and wait as you do this process. Refresh the screen of your mind like you would a computer. Many find their way into the Holy of Holies similar to the path taken by David of old. His pathway into this dialogue was often paved by song. Here is where the Bible says, "making melody in your hearts to the Lord" (Colossians 3:16) and turning your gaze and song upward.

Key #4 - There is a protocol to entering the presence of any great King. We are admonished to "enter His gates with Thanksgiving in your heart." In a very practical way this means that you need to turn your attention from what is not working to what is working. Inventory all the good that has been given to you. Rehearse audibly, perhaps in your own song, all that you are most thankful for at this moment of your life. The ideal end state is one where your soul can be at peace - still, quieted and coming from a place of gratitude.

GOD'S VOICE IS SMALL AND QUIET.

Please look back at Tuesday and Wednesday's posts on listening to God's voice. This is a continuation ...

Key #5 - This is perhaps the most important concept - you do not need to expect God's voice to be thunderous or loud. The Prophet Elijah referred to it as "a still small voice."

When God speaks it is often subtle and its sound is often not so very different from the sound of your own. Recognize that God's voice most often comes as spontaneous thoughts which light upon your mind - gently, almost quietly engaging the thoughts you are having as if walking along side in a conversation. Picture the image of a dove landing rather than a flash of lightening. This is not to say that God's communication cannot be dramatic and distinct, but it is to say that in my experience it is often missed or lost because of lack. I did not discern the need to be "still" and heed the "small" sound because my loudness and busyness drove the "still small voice" of the dove away.

Key #6 - The Prophet Habakkuk said, "I will stand my watch," (this was probably in the evening) "and watch to see what He will say to me ..." Then the Lord answered him and said, "Write the vision and make it plain on tablets ..." (Habakkuk 2:1-2). Recognize that God also speaks in impressions, images, pictures and vision. The art of "seeing' seems to be similar to the secret of "hearing." Namely, shifting gears from "doing" something in God's presence to simply "being" in God's presence. Enter the stillness of the moment without driving the flow of impressions, but "waiting" to "see" and "hear" what your Creator wants to communicate. We can "see what He will say" when we allow images from heaven to come as spontaneous pictures which light upon our minds. These can easily be pushed aside if we dismiss them because they don't make sense or if we are preoccupied with a multitude of business.

So here is the final key:

Key #7 - Write down the flow of images and thoughts that arise, and do so uncritically, suspending judgement. Forget grammar, forget spelling and avoid excessive theological evaluation. There will be an opportunity to discern, refine and sift your answers out later. But at this moment we are exercising faith for God to put something into our fisherman's net. Jesus taught that the kingdom is like a net that caught all kinds of fish. After it was dragged to shore the fish could be separated into categories, good and bad. So place your pen down on the page and simply start to write the faintest impression.

Ask God to show you what you need to run with, and to weed out that which is not of Him. Continue to get to know God, His nature, His heart, share your revelations with trusted friends. Conversing with and hearing God is part of an ongoing relationship with Him. Give yourself time to develop an ear for Him. Continue to get to know Who He is and the more and more obvious it will be to know His voice.

You are precious sheep. And God wants to speak to YOU!

My child, I am bringing you to a higher level of intimacy with Me. It is ok if you take a step of faith at a time. Enjoy My Presence. Immersed in Me. Do not grieve Me by ignoring Me, neglecting Me or put Me not in priority. You should only have Me as your priority and no one else and nothing else. Go against the world, whatever the world thinks it's logic and it's of course, most of the time it is against My way even when it sounds good. Will you die? Will you die to your way of thinking that was being shaped by your childhood, your youth, your growing up and your experiences? Will you die for Me? Will you forsake what others had told you concerning you, the good and the bad? Will you forsake yourself for My sake? And be so vulnerable for Me to invade? Will you let Me have My ways in you? You are uncertain, you have no idea and not sure what the future would be, good! Will you risk yourself in Me? Dare to let go? Dare to fly? Dare to soar? Dare to jump? Will you love Me like you never love before? Will you believe that I love you? I am attentive to you. Attracted to you and My priority on you. Will you dare to respond to Me? Will you dare plunge  into My love so vast as the ocean? Will you run to Me? Will you not hesitate? When can I get that respond? I am going after your heart. Have you ever chase after your lover? Have you look everywhere for him? Have you so concern least he get angry? The hearts of men waver, I am the same yesterday, today and forever. I am the Perfect Lover. I never fail, My love for you never waver.

Forget about a backup plan or alternatives, put yourself into situations you only have Me. Risk your life for Me. It is not yours but My life in you. There is no other way. I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through Me. Not your behaviours, not your good works, not your status, not your strength, not your might, but by the power of the Holy Spirit. Focus on what I am in you. I am bringing you through a healing journey. A journey to set you free from your past experiences, your past hurt and your grieves. You do not know but I know. You are uncertain and unsure, good! You only can look to Me and nothing could satisfy your emptiness except crying to Me, good! I am looking from heaven down on earth, for a completely broken vessel. A vessel no one can amend except Me. You achieve nothing and gain nothing, good! Know that I am your only desire and you are to have no achievement but Me. If you think you are a loser, you are qualified by Me. I am your dream. I am your vision. All that you are and going to be is in Me. Be extreme in Me. Be indulging in Me. There is no limit and no impossible in Me. Your faith can go as far as you want. Risk your life, indulge your life in Me. It is not yours but My life in you. Love Me without hesitation. Because I first loved you.

My heart grieved in this dream. Father, are you healing me?

4 scenorio:

Relationship with my aunt Ah May. She is the closest aunt to me in real life. In the dream she neglected me and did not put me as priority. I waited for her but she busy attended to other things. She busy with preparing sports equipments. She cared for another group of people. In the dream I confronted her and cut the tie with her.

Relationship with my husband. He was busy with other things and I was not his priority. I was grieved, bitter and angry in the dream.

I went back to Sim drive old place where my grandma stayed to visit her. I took the lift with a few young people. I was going to the 4th floor and I realised the lift can stop at every floor. When it stopped at 2nd I asked which floor,  one answered me. Then the next stop was 4th floor. The lift was dark.

I was in a classroom. The teacher or lecturerer mocked at me for not able to answer question. (Legalism)  they also condemned me for not following the rule in classroom.

It was the day to report for a new job with an old boss (ex boss), her name was Catherine. I came to the office building while waiting for the lift, I realised I was not in proper office attire. I was wearing t shirt, Jean and slippers. So I thought I should go buy a pair of shoes before I report to office. However, I became doubtful whether my old boss remembered her agreement to employ me and was it the correct date I should report for 1st day work. As it was discussed and agreed many months back. So I tried to call her using my mobile phone to get confirmation but I couldn't find her contact number in my mobile. I tried to search for Katherine instead of Catherine but I couldn't find either. So I returned home.

I was performing singing in midst of people and I was wearing a shawl during the performance. The shawl was intentionally used to cover myself.

In order to get out of where I was, I crawl through a narrow way (tunnel). I overcome Claustrophobia and manage to go thru the narrow and get out of where I was.

God is good

Every person is significant. Because of that I must serve well. Never self promotion, you can't sustain it. God promotes you He sustain you.

Breakthrough comes at people greatest contradiction.

Lester Sumrall and another preacher were conducting a evangelical crusade. I was watching below the stage. A big screen was showed. I was talking to an audience beside me, telling her information about her that were revealed to me from the big screen. She was amazed. (Symbolise revelation from God)

A file contained the things that I knew about the neighbours and the things that so far I could shared with neighbours. Those things were limited and were things of the world. (Not in depth or not spiritual. Neighbours in my dream referring to carnal Christian or pre believers living in the same estate)

First love is the position where we are in when we are in love with the Lord
2) repent - change of mindset and lifestyle
3) do the first works

Whatever works we are doing are not the first work.

3) worship - obedience and sacrifice

I witnessed a dead lying on a mat placed on the floor. A couple related to the dead was attending to the body by pressing hard a blanket on his face. After that I saw the dead risen. The dead body was gone. I only see living human beings.

I boarded a taxi with my younger daughter to go to a destination but I did not know the way. There was no driver but the car was moving fast on a highway. I was holding a paper written with some words in my hand. The paper fly away as the vehicle moved fast. I tried to get it back but couldnt. My husband and elder daughter were still at home. They were suppose to take the taxi with me but they did not catch up so I went ahead first. On the way I called them using my mobile phone. Sammi told me she had menses and she needed help to find the pad. I guided her to find the pads at my bedroom toilet and my bedroom wall robe. She seemed to get it.

Reflection:
1) The Lord has been speaking to me on being dead to my sins (my old man) and being alive in Christ. Forget my past and be a new man in Christ. To embark to the journey of pursuing the destiny He has for me in 2016. Be radically involve in Him and aggressively pursue Him and deeply attracted by Him.

2) Pray His words. Be lead by the Spirit in devotion. Be still and hear Him.

3) live out the words of God. Do not just know but do the words.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:8-9 NIV

4) keep moving forward. Do whatever and let God does to me whatever He intends to bring me to where He wants me to be. Commit my husband and children into His hands. He will take care of them. Be a support to them. Be a encourager to them. Be a guide to the children.
