Idolatry is not worshipping statue.
Idolatry is anything that replaces God.
Anything you use to fill the hollow or vacuum or emptiness in you.
The psalmist said on his bed at night he mediate on God and His words, in the morning he think of God and examined his heart to see that God is still in his heart, God is still the most important and God is still the only and all he has.
God is a jealous God.
He requires us to think of Him all the time.
Like a loving couple, call each other and update each other all the time. Not by obligation but out of pleasure for each other. God takes pleasure when we relate to Him, connect with Him and speak with Him all the time. He delights in those who fear Him and depend in His mercy.
