Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?" And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.' " Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Sons of God vs sons of the evil ones
God's power was rooted in the tree
We are called to be godlike not God
God is God we are not

3 things the woman  saw
1.The tree was good
2.Pleasant to the eyes
3.It could makes one wise

After they ate of the tree (outcome)
1. Self - awareness - they became self focus. Self centredness .
thinking of yourself less is humility
2. The man of sin is the culmination (大成)
3. Babylon  (confusion). We gather only and only for Jesus, not to build empire. Not to build cornerstone
4. The power of the Law. Thru the law we derived the darkness of evil

Tree of knowledge - we don't want God to involve in our lives

The protection of the woman is under the covenant. Under the authority of man.

Stop eating from the trees of knowledge

1. Issue of source.
Tree of knowledge was good for food.
Before they eat the tree of knowledge, they did not worry about provision.
*Jesus said He cannot do anything until He sees his father. This is His source.
Trust God for your provision otherwise you are eating from the tree of knowledge.
God provides and protects.
He was a father before he was a creator.
Sparrow does not worry abt food. The lilies do not worry what to wear. Oh ye of little faith!

Jesus said:" I have food to eat that you have no knowledge about "
Complete TRUST
We need very little in life to survive

6 universal value
God
Live
body
Money
food and
clothing

Jesus is saying we have more important thing in life than food and clothing
Matthew 6:24

Values have a hierarchy:
*God vs mammon
Money is not the ultimate value for Christian thought it is for the world

*Life vs food
Life is more than food.
Who is our source? Do we trust God for provision
Not driven by our belly

*Body vs cloth/things
Yr body is more important than what you wear

God is the provider
God is the healer
God is peace. You have to forfeit the right to understand.

Tithe has to go to the storehouse. No choice
Offering can go to your choice of where you want to give.

Pleasant to the eyes - the lust of the eyes
If you want to see the unseen you have to learn not to see what you should not see

Jesus only show what the Father showed Him

Deceit: Fruit of knowledge made one wise
True wisdom - James 3:17
This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Who is your source?
Make God my source.
I will experience victory. Undefeated

Ask God to show you.
Change your "diet" eat from tree of life.
Dont forget the hierarchy
