7 August 2016 Ps Lip 1145am

And you shall answer and say before the Lord your God: 'My father was  a Syrian, about to perish, and he went down to Egypt and dwelt there, few in number; and there he became a nation, great, mighty, and populous. But the Egyptians mistreated us, afflicted us, and laid hard bondage on us. Then we cried out to the Lord God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice and looked on our affliction and our labor and our oppression. So the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders.
Deuteronomy 26:5‭-‬8 NKJV

Re tell the history - no Hebrew word for history. Mostly refer to stories of others far away.
Hebrew meaning of chronicles is remember
Memory is personal
God makes history a memory for His people

Internalise their (Jews ) past
Bible is the record of stories of Truth, not systems

Know the reason (why) God says to do it.
Otherwise it will become meaningless ritual and religious

So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord . Your garments did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years.
Deuteronomy 8:2‭-‬4 NKJV

Wilderness experience is God's plan
God tests us to reveal what is in our hearts
Decision makes on provision or on dream?

then you say in your heart, 'My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.' "And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it  is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it  is this day.
Deuteronomy 8:17‭-‬18 NKJV

Royal priesthood and holy nation

Remember what the Lord your God did to Miriam on the way when you came out of Egypt!
Deuteronomy 24:9 NKJV

Miriam wanted the position and authority of Moses.
We must not be careless in responding to leadership God has placed over us.
Do not covet over someone else's position

Moses is the meekest man
Promotion must come from God

"Remember what Amalek did to you on the way as you were coming out of Egypt, how he met you on the way and attacked your rear ranks, all the stragglers at your rear, when you were tired and weary; and he did not fear God. Therefore it shall be, when the Lord your God has given you rest from your enemies all around, in the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance, that you will blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. You shall not forget.
Deuteronomy 25:17‭-‬19 NKJV

Amalek - Satan attack the weak

Spiritual warfare is real. Reality
Equip with spiritual weapons
Give no chance to the enemies.

We need to be people of common narrative in our lives.

We must teach and Re tell to our children.

我若展开清晨的翅膀飞到地极...

    就在那里
    祢的双手也必引导我
    我可以往那里去躲避祢的灵?
    我可以往那里去逃可躲避祢的面?
